What’s been happening:

I came to Penn State from my stint in the U.S. Army (1966-69). After graduating, I spent more than three decades in newspapering, mostly at the Milwaukee Journal, of blessed memory. I continue to do freelance writing and book reviewing. My novel, "Invisible Hero," was published in late 2007. My essays and feature articles appear in a variety of publications; one of the most recent is "Living, Though Not Sleeping, With Susan" in the New Haven Review. My wife Nancy and I have three grown children.
